We had to buy a new entertainment center when we bought the new TV, because the old one was too small and couldn't support 240 pounds. I set the system up this time to eliminate the need for any switch boxes. All signals run though the receiver and then to the speakers and TV. The GameCube and PS2 are in the left cabinet, the Xbox is on the right, and the receiver, DVD player, DishPVR and laserdisc player are all under the TV. I had to relegate the Japanese and US Dreamcast systems to the back room with the old 27". Nothing is currently in the bottom right, because Sid gets a kick out of hiding in there (as can be seen in this photo).
The PS2, GameCube, and DVD player are hooked up with component video. My Xbox, DishPVR and laserdisc player are S-video. The DVD player and DishPVR have their audio hooked up via fiber-optic digital audio (for Dolby Digital sound).
This picture was taken before I got my new speakers, and before I cleaned my house.
This is a tasty television. I hope to follow in your footsteps someday. Good choice my man.

Well, my Xbox barely works at all. Half the time it thinks whatever disk I put in it is damaged. Knights of the Old Republic is wonderful, though. I hope you've played it!

That's a nice TV, Wayne. Don't get me wrong: I'd have bought something different if I had that kind of coin to drop for it.

*scrathes head*
Dave, just what do you look for in a television? That is one of the nicest sets I've seen. I'm a little confused on what you find 'nice'. If I had that tv, I would marry it.

Sweet TV, Monuego. I briefly considered the Pioneer, but the cost was a little high at the time, and my apartment was kinda small for that size. The 46" fit perfectly in the apt in S Tulsa and the house here in Owasso, though now it's going to be a tad too small for the new house.

If I had more money and a bigger house, I'd have probably bought the 40" Wega. But $2500 is a lot of coin for a tube TV. As it is, I can barely get far enough a way from the screen to play the Dragon Warrior sword swinging game properly.

I'm thoroughly offended that not one comment has been on the cuteness of my son. You should all be ashamed!

That's not a ghost like in that set picture from Three Men and a Baby where you can see the kid behind the curtain?
